Megumi Hayashibara

Megumi Hayashibara is a Japanese voice actress, singer, radio personality and lyricist. She is affiliated with Woodpark Office. She was an iconic voice actress in the 90s She studied at a Catholic school. She participated in Badminton, Biology, Boardcasting, Drama and English club. She is a qualifying nurse but never has been employed in a nursing position. On the same day as turning in her nursing application, she went to a book store where there was auditions for voicing acting. After submitting her demo, she start doing voicing training along with nursing. Her debut as a voice actress was in Maison Ikkoku where she voiced smaller roles. Later, Hayashibara auditioned for Ranma 1/2 for Akane Tendo but got Ranma Saotome female half. She voiced in several roles in Love Hina, Saber Marionette J, Ranma ½, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Slayers, Detective Conan, Pokemon, All Purpose Cultural Catgirl Nuku Nuku, Video Girl Ai, and Shaman King. She is married to Masaharu Amiya on March 30, 1998 and has a daughter who was born on Januray 10, 2004.
